Mission Statement

WELCOME TO THE RADICAL UNIVERSE.

Our Universe embodies the concepts and stories from the top talent in all realms of entertainment and media.
Radical Publishing is committed to creating quality published works featuring character-driven storylines that truly reflect the creators’ vision. Our goal is to captivate the hearts and minds of our fans and carry our audiences on a ride through our Universe that varies from mythological and iconic tales to genre-based crime, science fiction, supernatural, horror and fantasy themes. Differentiating itself by utilizing a range of unique painted techniques for both our cover and interior illustrations, this painted stylization positions Radical's products as premium brands in both the direct sales and mass markets. Radical aims to create and brand high concepts that leave lasting impressions as we strive to create a library of work that will stay in print for many years to come.

As a testament to this overarching strategy, Radical has already made significant strides within its first two years to enlist and maintain a loyal roster of A-list creators, including industry names Yoshitaka Amano, John Bolton, Luis Royo, Jim Steranko, Steve Pugh, Warren Ellis, Arthur Suydam, Steve Niles, Marko Djurdjevic, Ian Edginton, David Hine, Rick Remender, Peter Milligan, Jimmy Palmiotti, Joseph Kosinski, Nick Percival, Steve Moore, Sam Sarkar, Stjepan Sejic, Dave Wilkins, Tomm Coker, Clayton Crain, Bill Sienkiewicz, Nick Sagan, Clint Langley, Darren Bousman, Nick Simmons, Patrick Reilly, Antoine Fuqua, Roy Allen Martinez, Greg Tocchini, Weta Workshop, Zombie Studios and many more.

Our published materials also have great cross over marketplace potential with several properties already in the process of being adapted into full-length feature films. The first of these adaptations is Hercules: The Thracian Wars, based on Radical Publishing's graphic novel written by Steve Moore, at Spyglass/Universal with Sarah Aubrey and Peter Berg attached to produce; Freedom Formula: Ghost of the Wasteland, based on the Radical Publishing miniseries written by Edmund Shern, at New Regency with Bryan Singer and his company Bad Hat Harry Productions attached to produce; and Caliber: First Canon of Justice, based on the Radical Publishing graphic novel created and written by Sam Sarkar, with Johnny Depp and his company Infinitum Nihil attached to produce. Other Radical Publishing properties with 2009 releases include the science fiction epic Shrapnel: Aristeia Rising from popular science fiction novelist Nick Sagan and Zombie Studios’ CEO Mark Long; a look into the criminal human psyche with The Last Days of American Crime from creator and writer Rick Remender; the new look at classic horror in FVZA: Federal Vampire and Zombie Agency, based on the popular site FVZA.org and written by David Hine; Incarnate, from creator, writer, and artist Nick Simmons, son of KISS founder Gene Simmons and star of Gene Simmons Family Jewels; Radical’s reinvention of Aladdin and Sinbad with Aladdin: Legacy of the Lost, written by multi-Eisner nominated writer Ian Edginton, and Hotwire: Requeim for the Dead from writer/artist Steve Pugh, based on a story from Warren Ellis.
